Big Bend Spur on the Grose River
A seldom-walked spur descends through open forest and sandstone cliffs to an unexpectedly vast pool on the Grose River. Beyond its sandy banks lie secluded swimming holes, a wild river traverse and a demanding climb back to Faulconbridge Ridge. A walk chosen largely for convenience turns out to be something rather special.

A long fire trail across Genowlan Mountain in Mugii Murum-ban passes through fern gullies, pagoda country and soaring cliffs before reaching the edge of the Capertee Valley.
